Congress has criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for not taking adequate action to stop atrocities against dalits in the country. Talking to reporters outside Parliament, senior party leader Mallikarjun Kharge said there should be no politics over dalit issue. He said, the Prime Minister is trying to gain public sympathy by showing sudden concern over the matter. Mr Kharge said, instead of giving statement outside, the Prime Minister should have spoken in Parliament. He also demanded a discussion on the matter in Parliament.
