The meeting of the core group of the congress is in progress. The meeting assumes significance as it comes in the back drop of hike in the fuel prices. Some of the UPA allies, Trinamool Congress and DMK have come out in open against the hike.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, the BJP has condemned the Prime minister's statement that fuel price hike will not be rolled back. Briefing reporters in New Delhi, party spokesman Mr Prakash Javadekar said that it shows that Prime Minister is oblivious to the pains and suffering of people who are all ready reeling under inflationary pressure.<br/><br/>The Left parties have also demanded a rollback in the fuel price hike.<br/>
