The Congress core committee held a meeting in New Delhi today. The meeting was held in the backdrop of the stalemate in Parliament over the demand by opposition for a JPC probe into various scams, the revelations of the CAG report on allocation of 2G spectrum and the Supreme Court's observations on the issue. Apart party President Sonia Gandhi, Pranab Mukherjee and P. Chidamabaram, and Kabil Sibal who is holding the additional charge of Communication and IT Ministry is attended the meeting.
