In Uttar Pradesh, Congress candidate for Gautam Budh Nagar Lok Sabha seat, Ramesh Tomar has joined the BJP. He was inducted into the party at the residence of BJP President Rajnath Singh in New Delhi today. Tomar had contested the last Lok Sabha polls as a Congress nominee from the seat in 2009 but could not win. A three-time BJP MP from Ghaziabad, he returned to the party fold after a gap of over five years.
