Congress, BJP demand judicial inquiry into firing incident in Bhatta Parsaul Village

The Congress and BJP have demanded a judicial inquiry into the firing incident in Bhatta Parsaul Village of Gautam Buddha Nagar in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday in which four people were killed. AICC General Secretary Digvijay Singh told reporters that the party wants a judicial inquiry by a retired judge into the incident.Former UP Chief Minister Rajnath Singh told a Press Conference that the Centre should bring a new Land Acquisition Act and till then no land should be acquired.AICC General Secretaries Rahul Gandhi and Digvijay Singh today sat on a dharna in Bhatta Parsaul village. They said they will not leave the village until the demands of the villagers are met.Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh government has lifted section 144 from Bhatta Parsaul village.
