In Uttar Pradesh several workers from Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party were injured today at Kanpur in a clash between rival groups of both the parties and police lathi charge.AIR correspondent reports that this incident occurred when the BJP workers were moving towards the residence of Union Coal Minister Sriprakash Jaiswal to lodge their protest against alleged Coalgate scam. Police has tightened security in and around the residence of the Minister.
