<br/> The Congress and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) in Maharashtra are yet to reach an agreement on distribution of ministerial berths and important portfolios. Talks between the allies are being held in New Delhi now. Union Civil Aviation Minister Mr. Praful Patel is leading the talks. Earlier on Wednesday, NCP General Secretary Mr. P A Sangma told reporters that they expect to reach an agreement on this issue soon. Maintaining NCP's hard stance, he added that NCP was ready to negotiate on the number of ministries but not at all in the area of portfolios. Both the parties are adamant to have hold of Home, Power and Finance ministries. However, Chief Minister of Maharashtra Mr. Ashok Chavan has said that the government formation will take place in couple of days. Meanwhile, the opposition parties Shiv Sena and the BJP are also fighting it out for the post of opposition leader. BJP is projecting senior leader, Mr. Eknath Khadse for the post while the Shiv Sena is still trying to come to terms with the defeat of its leader Ramdas Kadam, who was the Leader of Opposition for past five years.
