Congress alleges corruption in company owned by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari

The Congress has alleged corruption in a company owned by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. Talking to media outside Parliament, senior party leader Digvijaya Singh has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in this regard and sought action against Mr Gadkari. Mr Singh accused Mr Gadkari of taking undue interest in blending of Ethanol into Petroleum to 22.5 per cent from ten per cent. <br/><br/>In the letter, Mr Singh said as a Minister Mr Gadkari's decision to influence blending of Ethanol in Petroleum product is a clear cut case of conflict of interest. <br/><br/>He said sensing the decision of government to increase the blending percentage, the company decided to treble its production from 45 kilo litres per day to 135 kilo litres. Digvijaya Singh urged the Prime Minister to take cognizance of his allegations.
