The Congress today advocated for a multi -pronged approach to deal with the challenges of terrorism. Briefing reporters in New Delhi , the party spokesperson Manish Tiwary said that the meeting held between the Centre and the Chief Minsiters of States on setting up of National Counter Terrorism Centre, NCTC was to allay apprehensions of those state governments who are opposing its operationalisation.
He said, on the other hand the fundamental question arises about how to deal with the threat of terrorism posing to India in a difficult neighbourhood.
Replying to a question on the choice of Presidential candidate, Mr Tiwary said that the President’s office is a very august office and it should not be brought under the reign of unnecessary speculation.
