The Congress has accused the Punjab Government of indulging in a scam in providing 70 acres of valuable land to Indian School of Business at throw-away prices. State Congress Legislative Party leader, Rajinder Kaur Bhattal has alleged that Parkash Singh Badal led SAD-BJP government is committing a scam of over 250 crore rupees by providing land at cheap rates to the school. The state government has allocated 70 acres of land to the school at Knowledge City, in Mohali near Chandigarh, on lease money of just 1 rupee per acre per annum for 99 years. Mrs. Bhattal was speaking to media during her visit to Jalandhar last evening. She said, if Congress comes back to power in Punjab, it would cancel the allotment of land for setting up the Business School and a fresh procedure would be adopted to provide the land at the market rate.
