Congress party accused the Nitish led NDA government in Bihar for backwardness of the state. Addressing election rally at Kishanganj today Congress President Sonia Gandhi alleged that crores of rupees were given by the Centre to the state for the welfare schemes but the state government failed to utilize this funds. Exhorting people to come forward to cast their votes for all round development of the state, she lamented that the state could not utilize those funds which was allotted for the welfare of minorities. Congress President said, for the last 20 years, the voters in Bihar had elected non-Congress governments and they had done very little to improve the socio-economic conditions of the people. He said, voters should also take into account the fact that Bihar still remains backward as compared to other states. Without Quoting the name of Nitish Kumar Congress President said that some people claim to have secular credentials but for the sake of power the have made an alliance with those party which is diehard enemy of secularism. Sonia Gandhi asserted that congress has never compromised with communal forces and will never do it in future.
