Congress on Monday charged the Narendra Modi led Gujarat government of engaging in vendetta politics and suppressing the fundamental rights of people. Briefing reporters in New Delhi on Monday, Party Spokesman Abhishek Manu Singhvi strongly condemned the arrest of IPS Officer Sanjiv Bhatt. He said that the BJP has shown disrespect to democratic spirit.
Responding to questions on the violent scenes witnessed in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly, Mr Singhvi termed the incident as extremely deplorable.
