Congress accuses BJP Prez Rajnath of double standards on meeting Muslim religious leaders

Congress has accused BJP and its national president Rajnath Singh of double standards on the issue of meeting with Muslim religious leaders. Addressing a press conference in New Delhi today, party spokesperson Ajay Maken said, when Shahi Imam of Delhi's Jama Masjid came to meet congress president, BJP had termed it as communal and even approached election commission in this regard. He said, Singh himself is now going to different muslim clerics and making promises for the community.

On Rahul Gandhi's remarks on Modi's Gujarat model as Toffee, Maken said, it is absolutely up to the mark as land in the state is given to industrialists at a rate of one rupee per square meter. He alleged that this is being done even when Gujarat is lagging behind in many development indicators like poverty reduction, health and education.
