Finance minister and West Bengal Pradesh Congress Committee chief Pranab Mukherjee admitted that Congress has performed poorly in the West Bengal civic polls. <br/><br/>Speaking to reporters in New Delhi, Mr. Mukherjee said the party accepts the verdict of the people with all humility.<br/><br/>Speaking to AIR, CPI(M) leader M K Pandhe said the Left Front government would try to overcome whatever shortcomings before the Assembly elections. <br/><br/>Mr Pandhe expressed hope the Left Front would give better performance during the Assemble elections to be held next year.<br/>
