Cong VP Rahul Gandhi urges industry to broaden vision beyond financial concerns

Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi today urged the industry to broaden economic vision beyond financial concerns and partner government efforts to foster economic growth. He said that the industry should also be compassionate towards accomodating the welfare of SC/ST and minorities, dalits and weaker sections of society. In his first interaction with industry leaders as Congress Vice President at the annual meet of the CII in New Delhi this morning, Mr. Rahul Gandhi said, the UPA government is creating rights based infrastrucure to provide basic minimum job opportunities and education to the poor and downtrodden. He advocated inclusive growth as the country advances on the path of economic development.

Saying that a clogged political system is holding India back from realising its true potential, Rahul Gandhi cautioned against leaving people behind in the development process. He said, inclusive growth is a win-win situation for everyone. India has grown faster under UPA because as it has greatly lowered tensions between communities and made economic growth inclusive.

The Congress Vice president also said, politics of alienating communities affects growth of the country. On speculation in the media about his becoming Prime minister and his marriage, Rahul Gandhi dismissed them as hypothetical.
