Cong VP Rahul Gandhi accuses BJP of blocking six anti-graft bills

In a blistering attack on BJP and its Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, the Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi charged the party with ignoring corruption in states ruled by it and blocking passage of six anti-graft bills in Parliament.

Without naming Mr Modi, Mr Gandhi said that their leader is travelling across India and talking about eradicating corruption but does see their leaders in Karnataka indulging in corruption. Addressing a rally in Belgaum, Karnataka, Mr Gandhi said, he does not see that their party's then Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa was jailed on corruption charges and 16 of his ministers had to resign.

Mr Gandhi also attacked BJP for blocking passage of six anti-graft bills, which form part of government's anti-corruption framework and for whose passage he is pushing aggressively.
