Cong treats MLAs as bonded labourers not as public representatives: BJP

BJP today attacked Congress over its West Bengal Unit's action asking newly elected party MLAs to sign a decleration that they will not indulge in any anti-party activities.<br/><br/>The party alleged that Congress does not treat MLAs as public representatives but as bonded labourers. Talking to AIR, BJP Secretary Sidharth Nath Singh said such act shows the desperation within the opposition party after its debacle in recently held assembly elections in five states. <br/><br/>He said there is looming crisis over the leadership of Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi and party's West Bengal unit action is an attempt to address it. <br/><br/>Congress state Unit has asked its all 44 lawmakers to sign a declaration of unqualified allegiance to the party and its leaders, Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.
