Cong takes strong exception to remarks aired by Jagan owned TV Channel

The Congress party on Monday took strong exception to the remarks aired by a TV Channel owned by party leader Jaganmohan Reddy in Andhra Pradesh. Speaking to reporters in New Delhi, Senior party leader, Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad said that the state leaders should take up issues about the central high command after due care and caution.Law Minister M Veerappa Moily also termed the telecast of the programme as a serious issue. Speaking to reporters in New Delhi, Mr Moily however, refused to answer whether disciplinary action was in the offing against Jagan.The Telugu Channel had attacked Congress President Mrs Sonia Gandhi as well as Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh, in a programme aired on the week-end.Congress party sources say that the party High Command has taken a serious note of the programme and a decision on the fate of the Channel owner, who is also Congress MP, would be taken after the state leadership gives its report on the issue.
