The BJP National Council Member Ila Ganesan has slammed Congress saying, it is voicing its support for those who act against the nation's interest. Talking to news persons in Chennai, he said Congress leaders have expressed their solidarity with Afzal Guru against whom charges have been proved in court. Mr Ganesan termed the rail budget as pragmatic, devoid of empty announcements, and added that it has many steps to improve passenger amenities. <br/><br/>He expressed hope' a strong alliance would be formed by the BJP ahead of the Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu, and informed that, Union Minister Prakash Javadekar will be holding talks in Chennai in a day or two with many political parties except the Congress, DMK and the four party alliance comprising Vaiko-led MDMK, Left Parties and the VCK. He did not rule out the possibility of holding parleys with the ruling AIADMK for a possible alliance.
