In Haryana, with all the results declared, the ruling Congress has emerged the single largest party by winning 40 seats in the 90 member Assembly. INLD has got 30, BJP 5 and others 15.<br/><br/>The prominent winners include Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Kiran Chaudhary,Sampat Singh and Randeep Singh Surjewala. Former Chief Minister and INLD Chief Om Prakash Chauthala have won both Uchana Kalan and Ellanabad seats. His son Ajay Singh Chautala had bageed Dabwali seat. Kuldip Bishnoy of the Haryana Janhit Congress has won the Adampur seat. Jasma Devi, wife of former Chief Minister Bhajan Lal has lost.<br/><br/>Akali Dal made its debut in the House with its nominee Charanjit Singh winning the Kalanwali seat .BJP, which had broken its pre-poll alliance with INLD fared badly winning two seats and leading at two other places. Haryana Congress Chief Phool Chand Mullana and Transport Minister Mange Ram Gupta lost from Mullana and Jind to INLD.<br/><br/>The ruling Congress-NCP alliance in Maharashtra is inching towards retaining power for the third consecutive term. The Alliance has so far won 104 seats and is leading in 36 seats in the 288-member Assembly. The BJP-Shiv Sena Combine has got 74 and is ahead in 18 seats. MNS has got 13. Others have bagged 37 and are leading in six.<br/><br/>Chief Minister Ashok Chavan won the Bhokar seat by a record margin. The Ministers of the outgoing Cabinet who were declared elected include Narayan Rane, Chhagan Bhujbal Harshavardhan Shahajirao and Ajit Pawar. Union Energy Minister Sushilkumar Shinde's daughter, Praniti, has also been elected. President Pratibha Patil's son and Congress candidate Raosaheb Shekhawat won Amravati seat after defeating Congress rebel Sunil Deshmukh by a margin of over 5,600 votes.<br/><br/>In Arunachal Pradesh, the Congress has bagged 31 and leading in seven. NCP got five and BJP two. Others have got nine and leading in one. <br/><br/>The BJP today described the election results in the three states are disappointing. The party spokesperson, Mr. Ravi Shankar Prasad told reporters in New Delhi that in Maharashtra anti incumbency votes were divided and MNS played a big role in damaging 40 seats for BJP and Shiv Sena combine. He said the Congress performance in Haryana was not satisfactory and it has not got the absolute majority. Mr. Prasad said defection of party MLAs in Arunachal Pradesh helped Congress. He said the party would discuss its shortcomings threadbare and address the issues for defeat.
