In Manipur, list of Congress Candidates of all the 60 seats for the ensuing state assembly elections has been announced today.Speaking to media persons at Imphal, the Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee(MPCC) President Gaikhangam said that all the sitting Congress MLAs will again fight the state assembly elections on Congress ticket. Besides, four sitting opposition MLAs namely R K Anand of Naoriya Pakhanglakpa Assembly Constituency, Dr. N Bijoy of Khurai, K Panmei of Tamenglong and T Haokip of Chandel have also been nominated as party candidates.Regarding the ban imposed upon the Congress Party by the Co-ordination Committee of seven proscribed insurgent outfits of the state, the MPCC President said that the ban will not affect election prospects of the party.
