Minister of State for External Affairs Shashi Tharoor landed in a fresh controversy for dubbing travel by economy class as "cattle class", a remark for which he was strongly rebuked by the Congress party. Mr. Tharoor had reportedly wrote this on twitter, a social networking website. The party spokesperson, Mrs. Jayanti Natarajan said that the remark is absolutely insensitive and the Congress does not approve it as thousands of people travel in economy class. Rejecting Tharoor's comments as unacceptable, she said that they are not in sync with the country's political culture.
