The Congress has rejected allegations of Union Minister Smriti Irani that the party is playing politics over Rohith Vemula's suicide. Briefing media in New Delhi this evening, party spokesperson Deepender Singh Hooda said Ms Irani has misrepresented the facts about the matter. <br/><br/>He demanded immediate sacking of the University's Vice Chancellor and revoking suspension of four other students. The spokesperson said, the matter should be investigated by a sitting High Court Judge. <br/><br/>Mr Hooda said, Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya's name was mentioned in the FIR therefore he should be removed from the Union Cabinet. He said, compensation and a job must be provided to the family of Rohith Vemula.
