Cong.-NCP likely to resolve seat sharing by tonight; new govt. in next 48 hrs: Chavan

Maharashtra Chief Minister designate Ashok Chavan today said that the new government will be formed in 48 hours. Speaking to reporters in Mumbai Mr. Chavan said that Congress and NCP would soon finalise the power sharing formula and the government is likely to be formed in 48 hours. <br/>His statement comes a day after Maharashtra Governor Jamir held talks with Ashok Chavan who is the Chief Minister designate of Maharashtra and Deputy Chief Minister designate Chhagan Bhujbal and told them to formed the government within a couple of days. <br/>Meanwhile the Governor also told a delegation of opposition Shiv Sena-BJP alliance that he had reminded Chavan and Bhujbal that since the voters of Maharashtra had given them a fresh mandate, it was their responsibility to respect the mandate and form a government without any further delay. Negotiators from both the parties are expected to finalise the power sharing formula by tonight.<br/>
