Congress will contest on 26 seats and NCP on 22 in Maharashtra in the next Lok Sabha elections.
A decision in this regard was taken at a seat sharing meeting between Congress and NCP leaders in New Delhi on Monday.
Senior NCP leader Praful Patel told reporters that his party will extend complete support to the Congress in the elections.
AIR correspondent reports that Maharashtra which has 48 parliamentary constituencies, is the second largest state in terms of Lok Sabha members after Uttar Pradesh which has 80 seats.
