Cong-NCP agree on 174:114 seat-sharing pact

Congress today announced that it will contest on 174 seats, while its partner NCP on 114, in the next month's Maharashtra Assembly elections. Briefing the media in New Delhi, the Party In charge of the state, Chaudhary Virendra Singh said, the seat-sharing arrangement has been finalised after several rounds of talks. It is to be recalled that in the last elections, Congress had fought on 164 seats, while NCP on 124 seats. Meanwhile, the process for next months Assembly elections in the State will be set in motion with the issue of notification tomorrow.
