Congress members from Punjab and Haryana were locked in a war of words in Rajya Sabha over the issue of implementation of Sutlej-Yamuna Link Canal. Dr. M.S. Gill of the Congress raised the issue during Zero Hour, demanding an amicable resolution of the decades-old water sharing dispute between the two states. He said, the issue cannot be settled by courts, but only through dialogue of the stakeholders. Kum. Selja and some of her party colleagues trooped into the well of the house, demanding implementation of the Supreme Court order on SYL Canal issue.
