Cong meets today on IPL-Tharoor controversy

The Congress Core Group is meeting today to discuss the alleged involvement of Minister of State for External Affairs Shashi Tharoor in the alleged IPL Kochi controversy case. The core group had several meeting during the last two days and today's meeting is likely to be conclusive with the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh back home after his two nation foreign visit. Mr. Shashi Tharoor who has denied any involvement in the case or misuse of office met several senior Congress leaders during the last one week including the Congress President Mrs. Sonia Gandhi, Defence Minister Mr. A.K. Anthony and the leader of the House in the Lok Sabha and Finance Minister Mr. Pranab Mukherjee.<br/><br/>The controversy rocked the two houses of Parliament on Friday leading to the adjournment of both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha. The opposition has been demanding removal of Mr. Tharoor from the Union Council of Ministers for his alleged involvement in the controversy.
