Congress central leadership held a crucial meeting with state ministers of the Seemandhra region yesterday, a week after parliament gave its nod to the Telangana Bill.
The meeting, chaired by AICC general secretary Digvijay Singh, deliberated on a slew of issues concerning Seemandhra region in which Ministers from the centre such as Jairam Ramesh and J D Seelam were present.
Seemandhra ministers raised certain issues pertaining to development of the region which had not figured in the Telengana Bill.
More than 15 ministers from Seemandhra region were present at the meeting. However, a small section of ministers, who are likely to align with former chief minister N Kiran
Kumar Reddy, did not participate in the meeting.
