Congress today lauded the measures taken by the government to control food inflation.Briefing reporters in New Delhi , the party spokesperson Mr Jayanti Natrajan said that after considerable efforts the inflation have started come down and stood at single digit which was earlier in double digit. She said that the party also expects the downwards trend of food prices will continue in the coming days.The Congress Party also asked the state governments to take effective action against hoarders and black marketeers to bridge the gap between demand and supply.
