Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi is visiting violence hit areas of Assam to take stock of the situation. Accompanied by Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi and Assam Pradesh Congress Committee President and Rajhya Sabha MP Bhubaneswar Kalita Mr Gandhi visited Gaambari and Kathalguri relief camps in Kokrajhar district. He also met inmates of the camps and took stock of the relief measures being provided to them. Rahul Gandhi also visited relief camp at Lakhiganj in Dhubri district. Meanwhile, curfew has been relaxed in Dhubri town Bilasipara sub -division today. In Dhubri, curfew has been relaxed from 10 am to 3 pm while in Bilasipara sub -division it is from 6 am to 6 pm. Indefinite curfew was relaxed in Chirang district yesterday by the district administration.Security has been intensified in violence-hit Dhubri district. Senior police officers are camping in the district to take stock of the situation.
