Congress today filed a complaint with the Election Commission alleging violation of model Code of Conduct by BJP leader Narendra Modi.

According to party sources, Modi has violated the model code by holding party symbol near the polling booth in Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency.

Our Ahmedabad correspondent reports that while addressing media persons after casting his vote in Ranip area of Sabarmati, Narendra Modi held his party symbol while displaying his inked finger.

Congress has demanded filing of an FIR against him and disqualification of his nomination from both the seats of Lok Sabha. He is contesting from Vadodara in Gujarat and Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh.
