The Congress has demanded that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi convene a meeting of all the Chief Ministers of drought-hit states. Briefing reporters in New Delhi, party spokesman Randeep Singh Surjewala said, the government should provide all necessary assistance to the states to tide over the situation. <br/><br/>He said, 13 states are facing drought-like situation due to which people are migrating from villages to urban areas. Surjewala also demanded the implementation National Food Security Act without delay in these states.
