Congress has demanded setting up of Joint Parliamentary Committee, JPC to probe findings of CAG over KG basin project, which is yet to start production of gas. <br/><br/>In its report, the CAG has rapped Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation, GSPC, for its KG basin project, which is yet to see any production of gas. In 2005, the then Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi had declared that it had struck 20 Trillion Cubic Feet (TCF) gas in the KG basin block. <br/><br/>Briefing media in New Delhi today, party leader Anand Sharma said, accountability should be fixed for the non-production of gas. He said, there is no commercial production or resultant commercial gain out of the announced gas yield of 20 TCF. Mr Sharma said, entire public investment of 19,576 crore rupees seems to have been wasted.
