Congress has demanded grant of special category status to Andhra Pradesh. In a series of tweets, party vice president Rahul Gandhi alleged that the government of the day is not interested in supporting the people of Andhra Pradesh. <br/><br/>He said Special Category Status and Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act are necessary anchors to support AP through a difficult transition. Mr Gandhi said his party will put pressure on the Centre to fulfill the promise made to the people of Andhra Pradesh.
