The Congress says, the Centre's Ordinance on uniform pricing for sugarcane is not anti farmer. Talking to reporters in New Delhi,senior party leader Digvijay Singh accused political parties of misinterpreting the issue. He said there is no binding on farmers to sell sugarcane at any fixed price.Mr. Singh said, Congress will continue to fight for getting farmers good price for their crops. <br/>He said the Act in fact has a provision for an agreement on pricing between the factory owners and farmers keeping in mind the economic viability of the factory concerned and there is no question of any condition on farmers to sell their crop at cheaper rates.<br/><br/>
