The Congress Core Group which met in New Delhi last night discussed the internal security situation. It was presided over by the Prime Minister.
The Home Minister briefed the core group about the status of the investigations in the Delhi High Court blast. Mrs. Sonia Gandhi who heads the Core Group, however, did not attend the meeting.

The Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh has already asked Home Minister P. Chidambaram and the Law Minister Salman Khurshid to call on the Chief Justice of India to discuss measures for urgently strengthening security at the Supreme Court complex.
