The Congress core committee today met in New Delhi. It is understood the party may have finalized the presidential candidate during the meeting.

Leaders from several regional parties have been meeting Congress president Mrs. Sonia Gandhi and Prime minister Dr Manmohan Singh on the issue, besides coalition partners.
