Condemning a newspaper report which suggested that two units of the Indian Army had made a movement towards the national capital without notifying the Government, the Congress today said such reports could cause an irreversible damage to Indian Democracy.

The party spokesman Abhishek Manu Singhvi told reporters in New Delhi that Army is a hallowed pride of Democracy. He said those indulging in hypothising based on rumours or uninformed material will cause an irreversible damage to the fabric of Indian Democracy.
