Cong claims conspiracy behind booing of its CMs who shared dias with PM

Congress has claimed that there is an orchestrated and well-planned conspiracy behind booing of congress ruled states chief ministers, who shared dias with the Prime Minister in official functions.

The reaction came after Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren was jeered at by people in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a function in Ranchi on Thursday.

A few days ago, Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda was also booed at a rally in Modi’s presence prompting his Maharashtra counterpart Prithviraj Chavan to abstain from the Prime Minister’s function in Nagpur on Thursday.

Speaking to reporters in New Delhi, party leader Ambika Soni said no one has the right to humiliate duly elected chief ministers by inciting supporters. She said Prime Minister should immediately ask his partymen to desist from such acts.

She supported Hooda and Chavan saying their decisions to not attend Modi’s functions in future are right and the party is fully behind them.

Another party leader Anand Sharma said humiliation of chief ministers is unacceptable and not healthy for democracy.

He said ever since independence, no such incident has happened in the country.
