Cong brainstorming session at Surajkund today

The Congress think tank will meet today at Surajkund in Haryana to discuss the economic and political situation in the country. Briefing reporters in New Delhi yesterday, Party General Secretary Janardan Dwivedi said apart from economic and political situation, implementation of the party manifesto will be reviewed in the day-long meeting.

Ahead of the meeting of Congress top brass to take stock of the progress made in implementation of the 2009 election manifesto, Finance Minister P Chidambaram said the achievements of the party-led coalition are quite impressive.

The meeting will be attended by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and all Cabinet ministers of the Congress, ministers of state with independent charge belonging to the party and Congress Working Committee members Official sources said in New Delhi that the meeting will also dwell upon steps to increase credit flow to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), farm sector, infrastructure and housing sector.
