Senior Congress leaders Madhushudhan Mistry and Mohsina Kidwai were today made central observers for Kerala while Pranab Mukherjee and Digvijaya Singh have been entrusted with the task for Assam. They will hold discussions with the party legislators ahead of electing the new chief ministers for the two states. The announcement was made by party General Secretary Janardhan Dwivedi, a day after the Congress ousted the LDF from power in Kerala in a keen contest and came to power for the third successive time in Assam.
