Congress has again voiced its opposition to the Control of Organised Crime Bill from Gujarat. <br/><br/>Party sources said they have requested the government to approach the President not to sign the Bill. <br/><br/>A spokesperson of the Rashtrapati Bhavan has, however, denied any such recommendation by the government or the receipt of the Bill. <br/><br/>The controversial Bill was passed by the Gujarat Assembly for the fourth time on 28th of July last year. <br/><br/>It is slightly an amended version of the previous Bill. <br/><br/>The proposed Law had been sent back by the President in November 2008 with an advice that the state assembly to reconsider the bill after removing provisions that can be misused by investigating agencies.
