The condition of ailing Shiv Sena Chief Bal Thackeray is stable now. Shiv Sena spokesman and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut said that Balasaheb is stable now and responding to doctors' efforts and there is nothing to worry. He also appealed to the Shiv Sena supporters not to panic. BJP leader Gopinath Munde, who visited Thackeray's residence in suburban Bandra this morning, also told mediapersons that the Sena chief's health is better than last night.
Doctors attending the 86-year-old Sena patriarch had last night said that he was in a critical condition and on life support system.
As the news of Thackeray’s ill health spread, several party workers assembled outside his residence. Mumbai police has deployed 1,500 policemen and teams of the Rapid Action Force outside Matoshree.
