Complaint filed against three former Karnataka CMs in illegal mining case

In Karnataka, a private complaint was filed on Wednesday against three former Chief Ministers and 11 bureaucrats in the Special Lokayukta court, seeking inquiry into the alleged illegal mining during their tenure.A social activist and regional Director of a city based NGO – T J Abraham has alleged in his complaint that former Chief Ministers S M Krishna, N Dharam Singh and H D Kumaraswamy as Chief Ministers caused loss to the state Exchequer by allowing illegal mining and received illegal gratification.The petitioner has quoted Lokayuktha report on illegal mining as the basis for his complaint and prayed for action under the provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act. After hearing the complainant's contention, Lokayuktha Special Judge N K Sudhindra Rao posted the hearing of the petition on second of next month.
