The Election Commission has directed the Chief Electoral Officer of Jharkhand to open a complaint monitoring Control Room and 24 hours call centre to receive complaints about malpractices during the ensuing biennial election for the two vacant seats of Rajya Sabha. The election to the seats will be held on 3rd of next month for which notification has been issued yesterday. The directions came after the biennial election to the Rajya Sabha seats from the state was countermanded last month over allegations of use of money-power and horse-trading.
