The government has made it clear to all the companies which operate Communication Services in India will have to give server in India as well as make available the access to law enforcement agencies. The Home Secretary, Mr. G.K. Pillai said that not only the manufacturers of Blackberry RIM but also other companies will have to follow the directives. The Home Minister, Mr. P. Chidambaram had made it clear Yesterday that there would be no compromise on the security of the nation in the operations of RIM and other service providers. He said today that RIM has agreed to provide access of some of the communications that are transmitted through its system from today. He said that discussions on technical solutions for further access are continuing and the matter will be reviewed within 60 days.
