UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has said communities that look different become easy scapegoats in times of insecurity and called for a global fight against hate crimes and bigotry. <br/><br/>In a video message to an event jointly organised by the Permanent Missions of Canada and US to the UN, the Delegation of the European Union and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation in New York yesterday, he said discrimination diminishes all and prevents people and societies from achieving their full potential. <br/><br/>Calling upon people to draw strength from the values of inclusion, tolerance and mutual understanding, he asked to resist cynical efforts to divide communities.
