Communists oppose NATO’s first strike proposal

The Communist and workers parties from across the world have opposed the proposal of NATO on first-strike Nuclear Option. Voicing concern over it they have decided to launch struggles in various countries against it . Speaking to reporters on the second day of the three day international of communist and workers parties being held in New Delhi, the CPI(M) leader Mr Sitaram Yechury said on Saturday that they will also draw up concrete action plans to deal with the economic downturn which will be included in the Delhi Declaration to be adopted by Sunday. He said the declaration will work out ways to ensure that alternative paths of economic recovery were pursued by world governments to help the people and not merely increase profits of the corporates.
