The Ambassadors and High Commissioner of OIC (Organization of Islamic countries) nations in Sri Lanka have said, communal violence targeting Muslims in Sri Lanka has regional and global security implications. <br />''<br />''A joint statement issued today said, the developing situation over the past few days has been extremely worrying with regards to the safety and protection of the Sri Lankan Muslim community, including some foreign Muslim refugees. <br />''<br />''It said the lives and livelihoods of Muslims are threatened by the prevailing conditions with dangerous consequences. The statement said, the Muslim community across Sri Lanka is deeply worried about the politically motivated intimidations and provocations and urged the&nbsp; government of Sri Lanka to take every measure necessary to prevent communal violence and to take swift judicial action against the perpetrators.<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The comments came as all Muslim Ministers and two provincial governors resigned yesterday demanding government to ensure security of Muslim community. The group called for an end to communal politics and urged to expedite investigations into Muslim leaders standing accused in the aftermath of the Easter Sunday bombings.</span><br />
